Intricately patterned and sumptuously textured, Jacquard fabric that has a luxurious quality & feel to the touch.  

Originally, complex patterns had to be woven into fabric by hand. Known as brocades, they first appeared in 4th century Byzantium. Thanks to Joseph-Marie Jacquard’s ground-breaking innovation, Jacquard fabrics are now an accessible and enjoyable part of our everyday lives, encapsulating a luxury of ancient times.

Létol keeps alive a tradition with a collection of fine organic cotton scarves designed, dyed, woven and manufactured ethically in France. Each component is traceable through the entire production chain and we only use GOTS certified colors (nontoxic pigments) to dye our yarn.

A final wash, with eco-friendly and hypoallergenic emollients, softens cotton fibers to enhance their thermo-regulating properties… so we can wear Létol scarves all seasons.

Létol’s patterns, textures and color nuances come from 2200 cotton threads meticulously interlaced in each scarf. Designed by Sophie Badot, Létol collection is manufactured and hand finished in her own ateliers (Les Tissages de Charlieu), recreated during the 60’s and nested in the heart of France… powered today by Green energy.
